Using Human Rights in the Fight Against Violence: A Workshop for Advocates and Service Providers - Warrnambool
Gender-based violence against women is a major obstacle to women’s equality in Australia. Research shows that approximately 1 in 3 women in Australia will experience gender-based violence in their lifetime.
This workshop will examine how women's rights advocates can use human rights to better protect women against gender-based violence. It will identify key domestic and international human rights instruments and cases and workshop how they can be used to advocate on behalf of women who are experiencing violence.
