PILCH has hosted a number of events aimed at promoting awareness of the harms of the death penalty.  In November 2009, PILCH, together with Reprieve Australia, hosted Death Sentence: A Conversation with Sally Warhaft, Jeff Sparrow and Brigid Delaney, an event at which each of the authors discussed writing about the death penalty.  In May 2009, PILCH and Reprieve Australia presented a panel discussion as part of Law Week on Stories from the Front Line: The Legal Fight against the Death Penalty.  The panelists, Julian McMahon, Joel Backwell and Matthew Goldberg, three Melbourne lawyers, discussed their experiences providing pro bono legal assistance to people facing the death penalty in Asia and the U.S.
