Death Penalty

PILCH strongly opposes the death penalty.  In advocating against this practice, PILCH endeavours to foster awareness of the human rights norms and standards that require abolition of the death penalty.  It also seeks to improve understanding of the obligations imposed on the Australian Government to ensure that no person in Australia is exposed to the risk of the death penalty at the hands of a foreign government, such as in the case of the ‘Bali Nine’.
