Training: Family law issues for same sex couples
This free PILCH training session aims to give community and pro bono lawyers an introduction to some of the family law issues that affect same sex couples. Among other issues, the session will cover the options for starting a family, parenting arrangements and the way the courts deal with relationship breakdown and other family law issues in a same sex context.
Attendees will be able to claim 2 CPD units in the 'substantive law' category.

Presenters: Paul Boers and Kristina Antoniades of Nicholes Family Lawyers are both accredited specialists in family law who have extensive experience with same sex matters. Kristina's practice has a focus on property and children's matters for clients in same sex relationships. Paul volunteered at the Inner City Legal Centre in Kings Cross, Sydney, for many years, and was involved in establishing and running the ICLC's Gay and Lesbian Advice Service.
