Stonington Lobster Boat Races

On July 12th at noon there will be an on-the-water memorial service for Andrew Gove taking place in Stonington Harbor. Please stand by on VHF Channel 10 the day of the memorial for more information. It is with a heavy heart that we share Andrew "Uncle" Gove has passed away. Andy was a racing legend and a highly respected fisherman beloved by his family and our community. We will miss him dearly and our thoughts are with all who knew him.

The Bass Harbor Lobster Boat Races are on Sunday, June 28th. Everything will be done on the water, race organizer Wayne ‘Cooly’ Rich told selectmen on Monday, adding that it had been approved by the Coast Guard and Marine Patrol.
