The Annual Human Rights Dinner is an opportunity to come together to celebrate recent achievements and to energise the human rights movement to tackle challenges that lie ahead. It is also an important fundraiser for the Human Rights Law Centre and the Public Interest Law Clearing House.
The keynote address will be given by renowned international guest Justice Edwin Cameron of the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Described by former South African President Nelson Mandela as one of South Africa’s modern heroes, Justice Cameron became a lawyer during apartheid and went on to have an impressive impact on human rights law – including safeguarding human rights in the South African Constitution.
