As we reach the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and start preparing for Christmas, keep a lookout at local stores for these trees. The stands were made at PTI in Point Pleasant by local workers.

PTI currently has an open position for a Maintenance Technicians. Employee Spotlight : Nick Jeffers Nick is the Engineer on staff for PTI and carries a load of responsibility. Nick has a degree in Plastics Engineering Technology and interned at PTI before graduation. He is in charge of product approval for our customers, process troubleshooting, mold maintenance and problem solving, and a variety of other things. Nick does a lot of behind the scenes work to help the plant running smoothly, our customers happy, and orders continuing to ship out the door. Nick’s hard work is appreciated by the entire team at PTI.

As PTI works overtime this weekend to help fill customer orders, the employee spotlight falls on Keith Cook. Keith is the Production Supervisor at PTI and is in charge of inventory, production scheduling, and equipment startup. He has been with PTI for 25 years and is extremely knowledgeable on our equipment, products, and capabilities. Keith also ran the Quality department for years and is still a valuable asset in that area.

Ahead of Labor Day, PTI wants to shed a spotlight on our Maintenance Department. Most work at PTI isn’t labor-intensive, but keeping our equipment is. Between changing molds in our presses and keeping our presses and auxiliary equipment running, these guys have their work cut out for them. David Canterbury is the Maintenance Supervisor. His knowledge of equipment and molding is a tremendous help. Robbie Stewart has been with PTI for 3 years and was recently given a PTI degree... in Improvised Engineering for his creative solutions to some of PTI’s maintenance issues. Garrett Norris is a recent PTI hire. His experience as an electrician has been a good addition to the maintenance department. Harry Heath Norris is with PTI as a temp employee, but has already made a difference. He is learning quickly and splitting time between production and maintenance, showing versatility and adaptability.
