The Key West Half Marathon & 5K would like to thank all it’s participants today at our 23rd Annual race. This has been a very tough year for all of us and we appreciate all those that could make down to Key West today. Thank you to all our virtual participants as well! We hope that next year we can go back to long tradition of a fun packed Key West weekend and our famous post race finish line party with beer and wonderful music. Did you know that the Southernmost Point of the Continental United States is not the big red buoy at the end of Whitehead Street? You do now! The Southernmost P...oint is actually about a half mile away on the Naval base, or better yet, another southernmost point can be found 9 miles away on Ballast Key which is privately owned. So don’t feel cheated. If you had your photo taken at the buoy you are at the southernmost point of the continental US that you can get to by car without trespassing on private or government property!
