PILCH SCHEME MANAGER

The Public Interest Law Clearing House (PILCH) is seeking applications for the position of Manager of the PILCH Scheme. The position is full time. PILCH is a not for profit legal centre that specialises in the delivery of pro bono legal services through the administration of four separate but complementary schemes. These schemes include the PILCH Scheme which, subject to the fulfillment of public interest criteria, facilitates the provision pro bono legal assistance to not for profit organisations and community groups and individuals from disadvantaged or marginalised backgrounds. The primary role of the Manager will be the day to day management of the PILCH Scheme and its promotion across legal and other sectors. The Manager will be employed by PILCH and will be accountable to the Co-Executive Directors. The duties of the Manager will include managing the case work of the PILCH Scheme and initiating and developing projects. The Manager will also assist and support the Co-Executive Directors to promote and sustain the membership of PILCH by Victorian legal organisations and to supervise staff and volunteers. The term of the appointment will initially be for a period of 12 months.
