 Criteria for Eligibilty

Eligible clients are:

  • not for profit organisations and community groups; or
  • individuals who are unable to obtain legal aid and are of insufficient means to afford requisite legal services at the applicable charging rates.

Eligible matters are matters of public interest, which:

  • require a legal remedy or other legal assistance; and
  • affect a significant number of people; or 
  • raise matters of broad public concern; or 
  • impact on disadvantaged or marginalised groups.

If you have not already applied for legal aid, we may require you to do so. We can assist in preparing the application or an appeal if aid has been rejected.
