We made it through our 2020 season! It was harder this year for many reasons. Fortunately we had a truly amazing staff that was committed to making the best of some very difficult situations. Usually when we close for the season, it’s bitter sweet. Closing this season is just a little more sweet than most. We are ready to pause and regroup. Like so many other restaurants we had to reinvent our service three or four times until we got it right. And just when we thought w...e got it right, August hit and it became busier than what we were prepared for. Our staff handled the changes and the regulations and the insanity with grace and smiles on their faces all throughout, even when they probably would have preferred to cry at times. We had our end of the year party yesterday. We cook all the leftover fried clams, scallops, haddock and smelts. We steam off about 30-40 lobsters, we eat the chowder, the blueberry pie and usually exhaust what we have left in our kegs. We play a little cornhole and enjoy some good live music. (Thank you Shawn from American Ride). A couple members of our team put together a song that was mostly comprised of inside jokes. To see all these awesome people smile and laugh during this song and throughout the party yesterday warmed my heart. It was a reaffirmation that this team is really very special and that we have something exceptional at our little restaurant. The Catch is very lucky to have all these people that truly care about its success and well being and that also think of one another as family. Thank you....Brian, Bria, Heather, Eli, Cooper, Dan, Ani, Angelia, Zach, BJ, Emily, Vanessa, Olivia, Miss Kait, Aurora, Dom, Gavin, Michelle, Alexa, Julia, Nicole, Meghan, Kiah, Billy, Roslyn, Lauren M., Steph, Sarah, Kylie, Emma N., Emma Y, Madelyn, Melina, Damian, Garner, Lucas, Ella, Morgan, Allie, Hannah, Molly, Lauren G., Skyler, Linsey, and Norma Jean I know that each and every one of these people gave all they had to make sure our customers had the best experience possible. From the food to the service to the atmosphere. These people were rockstars! Love them all! Of course, we love our customers and we truly appreciate you all trusting us to deliver you a fun and safe dining experience, but this year we really need to toast our team! Have a great off season and we hope to see everyone that sees this post in 2021!

Thank you for everyone’s well wishes and support for the safety of our customers and staff. We had an employee that was believed to come in contact with a friend with COVID. Our employee was not feeling well and got tested on Thursday. Being so close to the end of our season anyway we decided to take the weekend in order to play it safe and wait for our employees results. We are very happy to say that the results came back negative! We all want to finish out our season the way we had intended to do. So we will be open again this Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday! Thanks again for your understanding. We hope to see you before we close for the season on Sunday!

We are sorry to say that we will be closed for the weekend. With mounting Covid pressures and an awesome but tired and limited staff, we feel it’s in the best and safest interest for our restaurant and our employees to take a pause and put more value on what is really important. We hope to figure out on Monday, if we will be open for our planned last weekend. Have a great weekend and we are sorry if this interferes with any of your plans.

Two weeks from today these talented young ladies will be doing something most of us would never have the courage to do. It’s going to be Pretty Sweet and Special! I know they have all been working hard. You can say you saw them first, way back when at The Catch! I know We can’t wait!
