Legal Assistance for Individuals

PILCH is the largest facilitator of pro bono (free) legal assistance to the private legal profession and barristers in Victoria. The PILCH Referral Service makes referrals for people who need pro bono legal assistance. Assistance is provided by solicitors and barristers, and includes all aspects of legal assistance, from advice, negotiation and mediation to representation in Court. Assistance is provided in most areas of law.

The Referral Service also undertakes law reform, public policy, advocacy, legal education and community development activities to promote and protect access to justice.
