Legal Receptionist Volunteer
PILCH has up to 25 dedicated Legal Receptionist volunteers at any given time. They volunteer at PILCH one day per week or every alternate week from 9.00am - 5.30pm, providing essential administrative support to PILCH and the Human Rights Law Centre office.

What's involved?
Legal Receptionist volunteers are involved in a variety of work, including:

Answering and directing calls including initial legal enquiries in a professional and timely manner

Greeting clients and visitors to our office and providing refreshments

Ensure collection and delivery of mail

Help the Office Manager with maintenance of office equipment

Maintain clean front desk and meeting areas

Organise room bookings and prepare the rooms for meetings.

Assist the Finance Manager and Office Manager with financial duties including banking and petty cash.

Assist other staff with organising and running events.
Who can apply?
This position would suit an experienced administrator/paralegal/legal secretary with a keen interest in access to justice and helping those in the community who are disadvantaged and marginalised.
We are looking for volunteers who possess a strong administration background who can assist the Office Manager to ensure that the PILCH and Human Rights Law Centre operates in a highly professional and presentable manner.
We greatly value the contribution of volunteers and therefore offer most of our services including professional counselling, attendance at training and seminars free of charge as our way of being able to thank those that donate their time generously.
